Dr. Wen Huey Goai is a graduate from Monash University and is now an endocrinology advanced trainee based in Adelaide. He is the current Andrology and Male Health fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and a PhD candidate with the University of Adelaide.

His research interests lie in understanding and optimizing the hormonal, metabolic, and musculoskeletal aspects of individuals with obesity, particularly in the context of weight loss.

Dr. Goai’s current research focuses on investigating the functional consequences of skeletal muscle mass loss following weight loss interventions with bariatric surgery or incretin-based pharmacotherapy. His research work also extends to investigating if treatment with testosterone might preserve skeletal muscle mass and function, in men with obesity who are undergoing significant weight loss with GLP-1 receptor agonists.
