Dr Katherine Hughes is an Endocrinology Advanced Trainee at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. She loves the variety and challenges that endocrinology offers, and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while caring for a broad range of endocrine conditions. Her particular interests include metabolic bone disease, neuroendocrinology, obesity and gender diversity medicine.

Katherine is committed to improving patient care through quality improvement and clinical research, particularly in obesity and metabolic health. She enjoys working as part of multidisciplinary teams and values the supportive, collaborative nature of the endocrine community.

Outside of work, Katherine can usually be found sailing on the Swan River, exploring hiking trails across Western Australia, or baking bread to share with family and friends. She is delighted to be presenting at the conference and looks forward to learning from colleagues and connecting with others who share a passion for endocrinology.
