Jared Houssarini is a first year Endocrinology Advanced Trainee at the John Hunter Hospital in NSW. After completing Basic Physician Training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, he and his family moved to the Hunter region, where he has been gaining broad experience across general endocrinology and diabetes. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney, having previously completed a Clinical Teaching Fellowship, and has burgeoning interests in obesity and metabolic disease, neuroendocrine disorders and transitioning young people with type 1 diabetes to adult care. In his spare time when not chasing after his young daughter, he is a keen runner, guitarist and insufferable coffee snob.
